Tailored advice and supply to your requirements
UAP Agronomists don’t just advise the best crop protection treatments, they can help with a wide range of agronomy, regulatory, environmental and budgetary requirements that today's farming demands
Strategic Planning
With their knowledge of integrated agronomy, UAP Agronomists can help provide strategic advice, such as the implications of changing cropping rotation. Strategy is regularly reviewed to ensure crops and enterprises are on course to provide the best potential return
Variety Selection
Our trials provide regional information by testing a wide range of new and established varieties under a range of drilling dates, seed rates, fertiliser and chemical regimes. The information from these trials is carefully interpreted so that it can provide benefit for our customers.
In season Monitoring
By closely monitoring specific crop characteristics we can ensure correct application of inputs to, not just grow for profit, but also meet regulatory requirements. For example:
Our “PREDICT” service monitors the internal crop development of specific wheat varieties, across a range of sites sown at different dates. This helps with the planning of plant growth regulators, fungicides and fertilisers.
Disease modelling and build-up of potato blight is assessed using a range of MiniMet meteorological stations, sited on a number of farms throughout the UK.
Cultivations
If cultivations can be better tailored to improve crop performance we can advise on the right approach to ensure they get the best from the soil environment, whilst meeting Cross Compliance and Environmental Stewardship conditions.
